Sentosa Spooktacular 2013

Sentosa's signature Halloween event, Sentosa Spooktacular 2013, has launched its night preview on 18 October 2013. In the inaugural collaboration between Sentosa and renowned movie production studio GMM Tai Hub Co. Ltd (GTH), Sentosa Spooktacular 2013 kicks the horror-o-meter up by presenting its five most realistic horror trails from the international acclaimed films - Coming Soon, Shutter, Body, Dorm and Pee Mak.
Mr. Yongyoot Thongkongtoon, Senior Director of International Business for GTH, mentioned that Sentosa Spooktacular is a good platform that allows them to work with Sentosa, to transform these stories to horror trails for international visitors to heighten their Halloween experience.
Successful opening of the Sentosa Spooktacular 2013!
Visitors will have to walk through the haunted trails and experience the intensity of the atmosphere which will trigger their senses of sight, smell, sound and touch.
We were greeted by the "hanging body" when we first entered
and the "ghosts" that were drifting around. Scary!
The props design and light effects definitely brought some eerie feeling.
Dorm was the first haunted trail. It was about a boarding school loner, Wichien, who fell down a well and met his doom on one fateful summer. However, no one noticed his absence. Feeling desolated, he is determined to make his absence felt. Slowly, kids started to go missing and drowning incidents happened.
We were briefed of the navigation and reminded to recite this chant and help Wichien reincarnate!
More "ghosts" await you after exiting the Dorm.
Next, we went to the Body. The story is about Chon, a medical student who performed countless autopsies, was seriously perturbed by nightmares filled with a corpse that he had recently studied. This corpse belonged to Dararai who was gruesomely slaughtered and the vengeful soul has set a deadly curse on the faculty. Something has to be done to lift the curse!
This trail sent shivers down our spines as we encountered hanging bodies and we were required to walk through the bodies to get to the next area.

Subsequently, we went to Shutter and Pee Mak.
Shutter is about the photographer, Tun who noticed mysterious white shadows in his shots and knew something was amiss. He came to realise that Natre, his ex-girlfriend who was violated by his best friends and was driven to commit suicide, came back for revenge.

Pee Mak tells the story of Mak who invited his four best friends to visit his hometown and introduced them to his beautiful wife, Nak and their new-born child. But soon, they heard rumours that Nak had died during childbirth. In order to save Mak, the horrifying truth of his ghostly wife must be revealed.
Visitors will be given a mission so that to put Nak's soul to rest.

Lastly, we went to Coming Soon that is about Chaba, an actress who was suffocated to death in the last scene of a production due to a technical mishap. The crew stood transfixed by what they thought was a breathtaking execution. Now, she's back with no one's off the hook from her lethal hex.
Find means to break the spell with a seal from Chaba!
