Established in 1887, the temple is dedicated to Jade Emperor (玉皇大帝). The temple houses other deities including Wang Tian Jun (王天君), Zhu Sheng Niang Niang (注生娘娘) and Tai Yang Jun (太阳君). 
On the 9th day of first lunar month (正月初九) is Jade Emperor's birthday (天公诞) and devotees will make their way to the temple early to offer their prayers to the Jade Emperor. The temple offers joss sticks and a small packet of tea leaves at S$2 (cash only). Devotees may bring fruits such as apples and oranges for praying.
