Kam Long Restaurant (Curry Fish Head) 金龙咖哩鱼头 (Johor Bahru)

Peimin suggested to try this popular Curry Fish Head when she read about it from JohorKaki. And I definitely agree that it is a gem across the Causeway. Along Jalan Wong Ah Fook and less than 10 minutes' walk from Johor Bahru City Square, Kam Long Restaurant is located at the building of Johore Bahru Market Stall Holders' Association.
When my mum and I arrived at around 9am on that Saturday, the shop was not yet crowded. But when I came back on the next day at about 10am with my friends, there was a long queue! Luckily, it wasn't a very long wait.
How to get there?
Address: 74 Jalan Wong Ah Fook, 80000 Johor Bahru, Johor Malaysia
Tel: +6016 752 8382 / +6016 796 2288

From Singapore to Johor Bahru
By Car/Bike - Drive towards Woodlands Checkpoint (CTE, SLE) and head towards JB Sentral
*Prepare Touch & Go card & Cashcard
Head towards JB Sentral, you'd reach the junction where you need to do a right turn towards Hospital Sultanah Aminah. Shortly, make a U-turn to Jalan Ibrahim and in a short distance, turn left to Jalan Wong Ah Fook. The shop is located on the right side.
If you are travelling by Public Transport - Read about my post on getting to Johor Bahru City Square. From the shopping mall, it takes less than 10 minutes walk to Kam Long Restaurant.

Opening hours
Daily from 8am to 4pm.
Off day depends on the shop, maybe due to festive seasons. Call before making a trip down.
We ordered a medium serving which was sufficed for 2 of us.
I had the big serving with my friends and it was more than enough for 3 people.
The curry fish head was piping hot! The curry sauce was good, spicy and not very salty.
The curry sauce, texture of the fish meat and beancurd skin tasted absolutely delish!
It tasted simply good that we added more beancurd skin to the curry fish head.
The prices are reasonable and the Curry Fish Head is definitely value for money!
My recent visit to Kam Long Curry Fish Head restaurant in June 2017 and noticed that their prices have increased. Nonetheless the curry fish head still worth it lah!
