Scarlett Supermarket 思家客 (中侨旗舰店)

Scarlett Supermarket 思家客 is a specialty store that sells a wide range of products from China. Their slogan "Feeling Homesick, come to us" ("居人思客、客思家") meant to provide their customers with home country's products at affordable price.

I first shopped at Scarlett's store at Trengganu Street and now, the supermarket has expanded into a few stores within a year. I'll usually patronize the flagship store at People's Park Complex.

Bought 小麻花（葱香味) at $1, 香芋片 (Yam chips) and 魔芋爽 (spicy konjac).

小麻花 and 魔芋爽 come in small packets that we can easily snack on.

Various flavours of Rio 微醺 cocktail drinks are available at Scarlett. Prefer the yoghurt flavour though the drinks are a bit too sweet for me. Bought the drinks at a promotional price of $5 for 2 cans.

Chamomile Honeysuckle dew and Chamomile Siraitia grosvenorii bottled drinks that are not too sweet. Nice~ $1.20 for each

Flavoured tea packets

Bought Huang Laowu (黃老五) red dates walnut and black sesame flavoured soft candy.

Red dates walnut flavoured soft candy became my favourite.

冰糖葫蘆 (5 in 1 pack)

辣棒 (Spicy snacks)

Bought black bean soya milk ($0.90), assorted nuts ($2.65), dried raisins ($1.80) and pumpkin seed crisp ($3.55). Snacks come in small packs, easy to snack on.

City Hot Pot 旺爐 (Tanjong Pagar)

旺爐 is conveniently located near Tanjong Pagar MRT, serves individual hotpot with a variety of soup bases such as Thai Tom Yum, Tomato, Bak Kut Teh and others.

You can enjoy a double soup base by adding a dollar.

Had a simple meal with my family, we chose set meal E that comes with main course, vegicombo and staple.

Fish Maw Fish Soup

Fish Soup with Milk & Prawn Soup

Chicken breast slices, pork collar slices, rice vermicelli and udon

Prawns, fish fillet, vegetable and mushroom combo

Herbal Chicken Soup with Lamb slices, fried tofu skin and braised pork rice.

Though it might be a bit filling but I enjoyed the braised pork rice, recommend to order as staple.

One can also enjoy single meal set by selecting the type of meat, set meal comes with vegetable platter and staple.

Miss Thai food so the stomach was satisfied with Yaowarat Thai Kway Chap where they serve local Thai street food in casual restaurant setting.

Nature Vegetarian Delights 大自然素食 (Bukit Purmei)

A gem found in the Bukit Purmei neighbourhood for its affordable and delish vegetarian dishes and one of my preferred vegetarian eateries. Recommend to order their black vinegar trotters and assam curry fish.
