Making Bread is Effortless with Panasonic Bread Maker SD-P104!

Just two hours of cooking demo session and I am convinced that making bread is truly easy with the
Panasonic Bread Maker SD-P104!

Simple and Easy 5-step Operation
You don't have to worry about over kneading the dough and getting your hands weary. Just place the ingredients and set the timer by using the 13-Hour Digital Timer to get your bread ready at the time you want.
Thanks to Theresa who demonstrated to us the baking process of 4 recipes and shared with us her tips in baking. And I shall share with my readers what I've learnt from the cooking demo session.

Muah Chee
We started making the Muah Chee which was easy, what you need is just
250g glutinous rice flour
375ml of water
1 tbsp shallot oil
Place the ingredients in the bread pan and select mode 2 to start.

In the last 10 minutes, stir dough with wooden chopstick.
Muah Chee dough is done!
Cut the Muah Chee dough into bite size and coat with peanut mixture of
150g ground peanut
60g fine sugar
some roasted sesame seed (blended)
And Muah Chee is ready to serve!

Wheat Bread
Next, we worked on baking the Wheat Bread. We'll need
75g whole wheat flour
175g bread flour
10g butter
1 tsp salt
200ml cold water
2 tbsp castor sugar
1 tbsp milk powder
1 tsp instant yeast (Put yeast into the yeast dispenser)
Theresa shared that cold water is very important as it will affect the texture of the bread.
Place the ingredients (except the yeast) in the bread pan. The yeast dispenser automatically dispenses yeast at the proper time.
Place the mixture of the following in the raisin & nut dispenser.
30g raisins
30g sunflower seeds
10g melon seeds
10g black sesame seeds
The dispenser will drop the mixture automatically. You could also add in your choice of dried fruit or nuts such as the dried cranberries, walnuts or pine nuts for healthier choice.
Select Menu no. 2 for "Rapid" mode, and select "Raisin" mode, then press start.
You could also select the colour setting "light" or "standard" for the Crust Colour.

The machine automatically mixes, kneads, rises and bakes the bread.
Once ready, remove bread from pan.
Leave it to cool before cutting.
The bread could last up to 4 days in room temperature and about a week if you keep it in the refrigerator.
Making bread is simply easy! You'll enjoy the bread making process.

Tuna Buns
Add the following into the bread pan.
280g high-gluten flour (bread flour)
50g butter
1 tsp Salt
160ml cold water
2 tbsp milk powder
3 tbsp castor sugar
some black sesame seeds
25g beaten egg (half an egg)
1 tsp instant yeast (Put yeast into the yeast dispenser)
You could replace the milk powder and cold water with just 160ml milk.
Select bread dough no. 9 and press start.
When you hear the beep sound, press "Stop" and take out the dough.
Divide the dough into 12 even pieces and shape them into balls.
Spray water on the dough and allow it to ferment for about 50 minutes
(till dough rise double in size at a temperature of 40 degree celsius)
After the dough have fermented, egg wash the dough with the remaining 25g of beaten egg (half an egg).
For the toppings, mix
tuna flakes (about 2 cans of tuna)
2 tbsp mayonnaise
sliced yellow onions
some black pepper
Cut the surface of the dough with scissors, making a line in the middle in order to place the tuna mixture on top of the dough.
Sprinkle 30g mozzarella cheese and some paprika on the buns.
Bake the buns in a preheated oven at 200 degree celsius for about 15 minutes.
When the buns are ready, the aroma of the freshly baked buns would fill the room.
I can't resist the tasty buns and had a 2nd serving.

Fresh Focaccia
Place the ingredients into the bread pan.
350g bread flour
1 tbsp olive oil
1 tbsp castor sugar
1 tbsp milk powder
1.25 tsp salt
225ml cold water
1 tsp instant yeast (Put yeast into the yeast dispenser)
Select Menu no. 10 and press start.
Once ready, remove dough and divide into 2 portions, shape it into a flat circle and place it onto the baking paper.
Press the rest of the ingredients onto the flat dough.
200g cherry tomatoes
80g black olives
140g mozzarella cheese (cut into 1cm cube)
Leave dough to rise at 40 degree celsius for 50 minutes or till it doubles in size.
Brush the surface with olive oil (2 tbsp), sprinkle with black pepper, rosemary and paprika.
Bake in a preheated oven at 210 degree celsius for about 16 minutes and the Focaccia is ready to serve.
The crust is crispy and the texture is soft. I had 2 slices of the freshly baked Focaccia!
