Elemen 元素

I was introduced to Elemen by my best friend and it offers new concept vegetarian-fusion cuisine. I have personally went to both branches at Millenia Walk and Thomson Plaza. This post is the compilation of reviews, as well as comparison, for both branches.
Elemen serves 5 and 8 course sets which include Starter (The Elemen Appetiser), Salad, Soup, Main, Dessert and Beverage.
Informed by the crew, to enjoy The Elemen Appetiser, we are to start from the right to the left, as the flavours get stronger in that order.
The first is soy bean paste wrapped in cucumber / mushroom with green beans.
The second is tofu with bean sprouts.
The third is preserved Tomato. (The tomato is really sour. You've been warned.)
Next, they serve the Rosemary Breadsticks (Under the 8 Course Set).
Follow by the Avocado salad with BBQ sauce and Mushroom salad.
Avocado Salad with BBQ Sauce

Mushroom Salad

For the choice of soup, all of us went for their popular Wild Mushroom Cream Soup with Truffle Oil. The soup is being served with a generous amount of truffle oil, which captures your sense of smell once served. After stirring the soup well and tasting it, the truffle oil doesn't cover the taste of the wild mushroom, and in contrary, complements it really well.
The soup is really creamy, yet light and really fragrant that captures our hearts.
Personal thoughts: The soup served at Millennia Walk seems to have been more flavourful as compared to that served at Thomson Plaza, which was a little flatter.
For the choice of mains, we ordered different dishes to share.
The Avocado Roll in Japanese Style is another popular dish ordered by many patrons. Enjoyed the different layers of texture and was really intrigued by the filling that tasted so much like shrimp!
It's pretty big to eat it in one mouthful so do halve it before eating!
The Wild Mushroom and White Truffle Pizza is one of my favourite. It's really cheesy, moist, crispy and flavourful. Must try especially if you love pizza (like me)!

Their new pizza - Veggies Charcoal Pizza!
Braised Pumpkin with Glutinous Rice in Hot Stone
Glutinous rice is crispy from the heat and the pumpkin is soft.
 Oven-baked Mountain Yam with Walnut
Another favourite of mine is the Mushroom Risotto with Black Truffle Wild Rice. It is again drenched with a generous amount of truffle oil, and there's a mixture of different types of rice that give it a different texture with layers of flavours. Really fragrant, moist with a little crunch from the rice.
Sizzling Quinoa Brown Rice
Grapefruit Mojito & Iced Lychee Green Tea
Grapefruit mojito is refreshing with a little bitterness. Don't worry, it's a mocktail!
We've also ordered Apple Kale Juice which tasted a little similar to celery juice, Iced Lychee Green Tea and Roselle Tea
Time for Desserts! (From top left corner, clockwise order)
Chilled Coconut Puree
Chocolate Lava Cake with Gelato - The biscuit beneath the Gelato is really good. Chocolate lava cake is really rich, however don't expect the chocolate to really flow out like lava.
Panna Cotta with Raspberry Sauce
Osmanthus Flower with Grass Jelly - Really light & refreshing! Ladies, it's good for your skin!
Their new desserts consist of Chilled Sweet Potato Puree and Double-Boiled Lemongrass with Peach Gum.
Complimentary apple cider for us! Cheers! If you're heading down to Elemen, remember to make a reservation. They are almost always fully booked and walk-ins are not guaranteed seats.
